I hope every one is having a safe weekend.
Here are a couple of sentiments to honor our heroes. (Suitable for scrap-booking)
I'll Be Brave
I will be brave, daddy
When you have to deploy
although it is so awful
And takes away my joy.
I will be brave for mommy
For she will miss you so
I love you so very much
Do you really have to go?
I will do my very best
To be good while you're away
I will be brave, daddy
But . . . just not today
In Gratitude
Our thanks we give to our heroes
Who serve our country each day.
Our heartfelt appreciation we offer
For all they do and say.
Our appreciation is sincere
For we know that we should be
Offering prayers of gratitude
To those who help keep us free.
They do not all win medals
Or make the evening news at 10.
They serve their country every day
And you call them your friend.
