I mentioned this site in my other blog last year when I heard about it.
Oprah mentioned it on her show today and said her staff is addicted to this site as well as many other people (like me!).
Kiva.org helps third world entreprenuers get small loans to start their businesses by your generosity and willingness to help others.

You select who you would like to help by reading profiles (, business, loan amount, repayment terms, loan use) and some other information
You donate as little money or as much money as you wish to one or a few people you would like to help.
The loans with interest will be paid back in time (depends on who needs what and for how long, so it varies from person to person).
When the loan/s are paid back, you can recycle your money and help someone else.

We do this with our yard sale profits and throw in some other money as well.  It is nice to know you can make a difference in someone's life.
