Say it ain't Snow!

2007-12-19

Yes, another eight inches due us in addition to the last storm.
Already, we have two on the ground from the current storm going on now.
Guess I am getting my workouts shovelling whatever the tractor can't reach.

I hope it is a 2 hour delayed opening for school.
We have already used up our snow days so looks like the school year will be extended.

Today we were above freezing and we had a melt down!
However whatever melts during the day refreezes at night and now we have a blanket of snow over some ice - dangerous.
The good news is that we will have a heat wave of 40 degrees for a few days.  Can't wait!
Good snowman/snowball snow for the children.

Anyways, I have one very excited little boy who is waiting for Santa to come!
I don't think his believing is going to last much longer though.
That will be a sad day for me.

Usually when the kids get to school, others will tell them, there is no Santa....but even then we pretend to believe for a while!! spoofing our parents!! I hate that black ice!! the melt and re freeze..nothing more dangerous, especially with a little snow on top, hiding it!! I have a friend in Sweden, and they don't even celebrate Christmas!! He says his family never has!! What a pity!!! A horrible form of poverty!!!
