This one I found useful because there were many issues I did not even consider or asked about.

Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts: Seven Questions to ask Before (and after) You Marry by Les Parrott

Before You Say 'I Do' : Important Questions for Couples to Ask Before Marriage by Todd Outcalt

First and foremost, love and respect yourself first.

When you meet that someone special, you will know. Be best friends first before anything else. Friendship and trust are the important issues and foundations of a long term relationship.
